FAQS

We’re beyond excited to celebrate with you in Mexico! We know a trip like this is a commitment, so we can’t thank you enough for making it happen.

We’ve designed this weekend with you — our absolute favorite people — in mind. We already tied the knot, so think of this as a celebration, not a ceremony. Our goal is to plan a weekend that feels authentic to us as a couple, centered around laughter, quality time, and making new memories together.

We hope these FAQs answer many of your questions, but if there’s anything we can do to make planning easier, just let us know!

  • We’ll be in Soliman Bay during high season, so we recommend booking flights as soon as you can.

If possible, please provide your flight details when you RSVP so we can begin coordinating airport transfers. If you don’t have your flight booked but know you will be attending, we ask that you still RSVP by December 1 and then share your flight details with us later once you’ve booked.

  • The villas are booked for March 12-16, 2026. Check-in time on Thursday the 12th is at 5pm and check-out is at 10am on Monday the 16th. Feel free to coordinate your flights to arrive and depart close to those times, but don’t stress if you need to come in earlier or later. We’ll provide transport to and from the airport and have somewhere to hang and/or store luggage as needed.

We’d love for folks to join for the full weekend, but if you need to arrive a day late or leave a day early, we can absolutely make that work, please just let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

  • We don’t blame you! There’s tons to do in the area, so if you plan to extend your trip, we put together a Stay Longer guide that can help with places to stay, things to do, etc.

When you RSVP, please let us know your full travel dates and how you will be getting to and from the villas and your estimated arrival/departure times. If you’ll need help with coordinating transport, drop us a note as well!

  • Of course! We have three beachfront villas all within walking distance, one for Johana’s family, one for Taylor’s family, and one for our collective group of friends. Villas come with a full staff — concierge, housekeeping, security, and private chef. Each villa has its own pool and direct ocean access, and stand-up paddleboards and kayaks are available for use as well.

Each villa has a variety of room set-ups (1 King or Queen bed, 2 Queen beds, etc.) and guests will have a private room with their plus one and/or family member(s). Most rooms have an en-suite bathroom, and a few will share a bathroom with one other room.

We’ll be selecting rooms for each guest to make sure everyone is comfortable and has the space they need, but if you have specific requests or preferences, just let us know. What’s most important to us is that you’re comfortable and able to fully unwind!

  • The stay at the villas is our treat! And all meals will be prepared by the private chefs during our stay, so those are covered as well. You just need to get yourself there!

If you still want to contribute to the weekend (which is absolutely not necessary!), please give to our future fund.

  • The villas have room for everyone, and we’d love for the whole crew to stay together for those that can.

If you’d prefer to stay nearby, no problem at all. Just reach out as soon as you can, and we’ll help you find a place within walking distance (our Stay Longer guide has a few great options to get started).

If you do choose to stay elsewhere, please note that outside accommodations will be on your own, as well as a few of the smaller meals. Don’t worry about group meals and events where we’re all together — those will be taken care of. We’re happy to help coordinate some of these details and provide restaurant recommendations so it all feels seamless.

  • The villas are located in a private, gated community with 24/7 security at the entrance to the bay.

  • Nope! All three villas are within a few minutes walk and activities and events throughout the weekend will also be within walking distance. We’ll provide transport to and from the airport and for any group excursions.

  • Please fill out our RSVP form by Monday, December 1.

  • Unless they were specifically invited, probably not. If you think we missed something on our end, just reach out to us to confirm.

  • Most of the activities and events we have planned will be geared more towards adults (and a few very well-behaved teenage family members 😉). If you have young children, please reach out to us directly to let us know your plans.

  • Soliman Bay in March has highs in the 80s and lows in the 70s, although it can get into the 60s at night. We’ll be there during the dry season, so we don’t expect too much rain (knock on wood). Prepare for hot and sunny days — bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats — and warm but breezy nights where you may want a light layer.

  • The villas are located on the southern end of Soliman Bay, which is a little more rustic and less populated than the northern end where the resorts are located. The beach can be somewhat rocky, so we do recommend bringing water shoes or sandals if you plan to go in the ocean.

The waves may also be rougher down here and we will pay attention to rip tide warnings and local conditions, however, it should be safe to swim.

This part of Mexico also gets sargassum that washes up on the shore during certain periods of the year. We aren’t going when sargassum is typically high, but it can be unpredictable. If beaches are challenging, all three villas have pools, and we can also venture a little up the beach if needed.

  • Honestly, you won’t need much. We’ll probably spend a lot of time during the day in swimsuits and then change for evening events (see dress codes in the itinerary).

The beach where we’re located can be rocky, so we do recommend some sort of water shoe/sandal if you plan to go in the water.

You’ll also want to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect you from the sun. The villas will provide beach towels and chairs.

  • Weather permitting, Saturday night’s main event will be held outdoors. We’ll have cocktails, dinner, and dancing under the palm trees, just steps from the beach. Keep that in mind when you select footwear - we’ll most likely end up dancing the night away barefoot.

  • Dress code: Main Character Energy — think bright colors, sequins, metallics, and bold prints. Always wanted to wear fringe? Been dying to try an embellished suit, a backless dress, or both? This is your moment. Accessories, embellishments, and a little extra drama, yes please! No such thing as too much. More is more is more. And of course, we have a moodboard for this too.

  • We’re still working on the menus with the chefs and will share more details closer to the weekend. We plan to have a variety of options for different food preferences, but we hope you like Mexican 😉

  • Absolutely - we’ve got you covered. Please include any dietary restrictions or allergies in your RSVP, and we’ll work with the chefs to accommodate.

  • Above all, we just want to celebrate with you. But if you’d still like to give us a gift, please contribute to our future fund.

  • Feel free to reach out to us directly with any other questions we haven’t thought of yet!
